Travel Photo Diary: Hiking Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica

One of the most fun things we did on our honeymoon in Jamaica was hike Dunn’s River Falls.

If you didn’t already know, I’m a huge fan of waterfalls. I absolutely love them. So when I saw it was possible to hike 960 feet up an actual waterfall, I couldn’t sign us up fast enough.

We weren’t the only group there but it was still so fun even with the crowd

The excursion we opted for was a catamaran party cruise that started with snorkeling, was followed by our waterfall hike, and wrapped up with a boozy dance party on the catamaran on our way back to the resort. It was so much fun! I can’t recommend it enough.

Even in November, Jamaica was hot. But this water was so cold! It felt great but it wasn’t expected. Be sure to bring water shoes with you- they’re definitely needed. If you don’t have any, you can rent them from the crew for $5 (cash only). Water shoes are also all over the island at various gift shops so you’d be able to purchase your own. (Since I brought my own, I have no idea how much they would have cost you though.)

Climbing up a waterfall was amazing and isn’t something I’ll forget anytime soon.
