The island nation of Barbados was home to quite possibly the most picturesque beach I’ve ever seen in my life. And, to make our time spent on the island even more fun, I learned how to surf!
First stop on our 8 day cruise: St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands! Originally settled by the Dutch in the 1600s, St. Thomas was a picture-perfect slice of paradise. While here my family enjoyed a snorkeling expedition with Captain Nautica through Carnival.
My family decided we were long overdue for a good old-fashioned family vacation since we hadn’t been on one since.. well probably since before I started college. Once we determined this was in fact going to happen the reigns were handed over to me to plan.
This year I hosted my friend group’s second annual Christmas party. I love Christmas! I especially love Christmas parties- friends, food, merriment.. you can’t go wrong. This year I wanted something cozy and fun for my friends and I to enjoy so I went with a ‘Pancakes and Pajamas’ theme.

Getting to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was what I was looking forward to the most about my whole trip! Despite imagining myself as a wizard while attempting to beat the heat with glasses of butter beer, I still came home a muggle.
Universal is actually split into two parks: Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. We only spent about half a day at Islands of Adventure, not that we couldn’t have spent more time there.
